CV
background
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts • June 20, 1952
During a brief encounter with higher education I majored in fine arts, then worked for many years in the graphic design, marketing, and publishing industries as a designer, consultant, and illustrator. In 1995 I began working as a freelance designer and illustrator, and shortly thereafter started to paint, then to make monotypes. In June of 2009, I completed my first installation, 13,699, and started Art for Water, an initiative to raise awareness of the shrinking availability of clean water through public-participation art. In 2015, Art for Water became Art & Dialogue, a non-profit organization that used the process of art-making to generate conversation about today’s issues and how they often intersect. Now I am continuing this work as a freelance artist.
